A real request, with a recorded response

Give your local AI a useful first task: find three cafés.

Connect AgentWeb, ask for places in Copenhagen, and get names, addresses and websites your agent can use. No browser automation or local scraper to install.

This public local-search recipe currently works without signup. The button requests JSON from AgentWeb; results may be cached. Business-directory lookup and other protected tools require a free key. Your model can run locally, but tool requests need internet access.

What came back

On 28 October 2026 at 15:24 UTC, we called local_search with coffee shops, location Copenhagen, and a limit of three. The API returned these three distinct places without a tool error.

The Artisan Copenhagen

Coffee Collective Jægersborggade

Democratic Coffee

The source supplied an Instagram profile as its website.

This is a recorded API response, not a live result or an independent recommendation. We did not verify opening hours or visit the businesses. Results may be cached and can change. Missing fields are not filled in by the model.

Try it in your agent

The local-search call also worked without a key in our 28 October 2026 check. Configure a free key for access to protected tools such as business-directory search; the steps below include that setup.

  1. Get your own free key.
  2. Add a remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP: https://api.agentweb.live/mcp.
  3. Add the header X-API-Key with your key as its value. Keep it in your client's private settings.
  4. Enable local_search and use a model that supports tool calling. Keep your normal tool approvals enabled.
Use AgentWeb's local_search tool to find three coffee shops in Copenhagen. Return their names, addresses and website links. Leave missing information blank. Do not infer whether they are open now.

Using Msty Studio?

In Toolbox, choose Add New Tool → HTTP, enter the endpoint above, and add the X-API-Key header. Name it AgentWeb. Msty's Tool Console can test the request below.

These steps follow Msty's official remote-MCP documentation. We tested AgentWeb's endpoint directly; this page does not claim an end-to-end Msty test or partnership.

The exact MCP request

{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "local_search",
    "arguments": {
      "query": "coffee shops",
      "location": "Copenhagen",
      "limit": 3
    }
  }
}

Send this JSON to the MCP endpoint with Content-Type: application/json, Accept: application/json, text/event-stream, and optionally your API-key header for this public local-search recipe. Allow up to 65 seconds. Check both HTTP errors and the MCP result's isError flag.

Run it with Node.js

Download and inspect local-search.mjs. With Node.js 22 or newer, run directly without signup:

node local-search.mjs "coffee shops" "Copenhagen"

No package installation or model subscription is required for this direct API example. It prints names, addresses and websites as JSON. If you already have a key, you can optionally set AGENTWEB_API_KEY privately. Never commit it or put it in public browser code. The script was tested with Node.js 22.16.0 against the hosted endpoint on 28 October 2026.

Why start here?

AgentWeb also offers a directory of 130M+ business records, web search, page reading and other tools. This example uses its separate local-search tool because source freshness and record quality vary. A successful small task is a better first test than enabling every tool at once.
